Weekly Report / Update on the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programs of ZAMCELCO

This is in compliance with the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, Inc. (PHILRECA) amendment and addendum to Advisory No. 2020-064 sent on 31 March 2020 on the Request for submission of the EC Risk Management and Sustainability Plan (EcRM-SP).

Below is the list of Institutional activities that were suspended due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic:

MEMBER-CONSUMER-OWNERS PROGRAM FOR EMPOWERMENT (MCOPE)

• The MCOPE is a program for the Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) of an electric cooperative (EC) that aims to empower the rights of every member-consumers and to be part closely of the ECs CSR programs and other activities.
• The new ZAMCELCO was on the peak of the implementation of the said program until the spread of the COVID-19.
• In fact, early this year, out of the ninety (90) covered barangays in Zamboanga City, we already touched twenty (20) barangays until before the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
• Consistently, the MCOPE was scheduled every Saturday and Sunday. At least, four (4) barangays per day.
• MCOPE ZAMCELCO has two teams consist of ten (10) members per team. Each team were assigned Two (2) barangays per day, one (1) in the morning and one (1) in the afternoon.

PRE-MEMBERSHIP ORIENTATION SEMINAR (PMOS)

• The PMOS is basically a requirement for the new electrical applications or new member-consumer-owners before the energization.
• The PMOS is scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (MWF) from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the morning.

APPLICATIONS FOR NEW ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

• The applications for the new electrical connection is one of the main activity or program of the cooperative.

ZONING: MASSIVE METER CHECK UP

• The ZONING: Massive meter check up is part of the ZAMCELCO’s Anti-Pilferage Campaign under Republic Act (RA) 7832.
• ZONING aims to eradicate illegal connections in Zamboanga City.

TOWNHALL: EMPLOYEES MONTHLY GENERAL ASSEMBLY

• The TOWNHALL: Employees Monthly General Assembly is conducted once a month.

This aims to update all the employees of the new ZAMCELCO management’s plans and programs.
