The Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative, Inc. just recently concluded its 43rd Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) held on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the UZ Summit Centre, Tetuan, this city, after three (3) consecutive years of deferment due to the pandemic.
A record-breaking total of 7,632 Member-Consumer-Owners were registered and participated in the AGMA, surpassing our 5% expected target members.
With the successful holding of the 43rd AGMA, the New ZAMCELCO has underscored its various accomplishments for the betterment of the local power cooperative, especially in the field of upgrading its facilities, balancing power feeder load to avoid power outages, construction of new substations, internal cleansing, intensified anti-pilferage campaign, and improved customer care and services.
Distinguished guest speaker, Councilor, and Vice Mayor-elect, Hon. Josephine “Pinpin” Pareja graced the assembly and was welcomed by the esteemed Board of Directors led by President Corazon D. Cullantes, AGM Gannymede B. Tiu, and the Investor Managers led by CMO Marvee M. Espejo. Also present in the assembly were the observers from NEA, Vice Mayor Rommel S. Agan and other City Officials, ZAMCELCO Employees, MCOPE Officers and Members, and the 7,632 active MCOs.
Grand raffle prizes, including a Piaggio three-wheeled vehicle, motorcycle, e-bike, and more were given away to lucky attendees.
