Today, in observance of the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), the New ZAMCELCO participated in the first quarter of NSED 2024, led by our Incident Commander, Engr. Gannymede B. Tiu, General Manager together with our very own Safety Officer Engr. Gian Paula Florendo who prepared the drill and of course the different designated tasks among employees as Floor Marshalls, First Aiders, Security Personnel, Fire Brigade, Coop Nurse, and Coop Physician.
During the drill, the ZAMCELCO demonstrated its readiness to swiftly assess damages, and deploy resources effectively and efficiently. Through mock up scenarios, we simulated response strategies, including rapid damage assessment, first aid response, and safety inspections. This effort raises earthquake awareness and increases employee and cooperative preparedness.Participation in the NSED 2024 reaffirms the commitment of the New ZAMCELCO to serve as reliable partners in disaster response and recovery efforts.
The cooperative shows its commitment to preserving employees’ well-being and enhancing the general resilience of the communities they serve by actively participating in such drills.This was assessed by the Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ZCDRRMO), as well as personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection – Putik Substation and Zamboanga City Police Office – Putik Station.
